What to expect at Open Life with bad weather forecasts?

“Whatever campus has no snow…”

Simply put Open Life will meet as scheduled this Sunday at 10am in Bonney Lake and Sumner, if there is no snow on the road.  There are a few things we would suggest you do and are good to know as we approach a potential bad weather Sunday (rain/snow is not that bad, but it’s good to use this Sunday to look ahead).

Our desire is that if there is snow on the ground in your neighborhoods that we let you create memories there with your family and neighbors.  We love gathering together and will if it’s possible and safe, but we also value you making the most of the opportunities to neighbor well.

Go to the campus that has no snow!

We are blessed to have two campuses each Sunday, Open Life Bonney Lake at the Bonney Lake High School and Open Life Sumner at the Sumner Middle School.  Chances are at least one of the campuses will have no snow this Sunday and if so we will have service at 10am.

It might not be our call, but we will make it early.

The Sumner School District does not let us rent their facilities when the power is out or if the roads are dangerous for the janitors to make it to unlock their facilities.  If snow is the issue, which this weekend is looking at we will make the call by 7am if we would be canceling the service. Again we make this decision based on the condition of the roads, not white lawns.

Follow us on social media for weather impact updates.

Chances are you are following us on the app or social media to even be reading this post, but if you have yet to do so; download the Open Life Church App and allow notifications (see video below), follow us on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.  You will see us post on all these locations as we grow closer to Sunday morning to keep you informed of anything that develops.

Enjoy the good nights sleep and we will see you at church.
