A Full Circle Moment

June 4th, 2026 — a full-circle moment.

When Open Life purchased Finn Hall back in July of 2021, we were told that a portion of the funds would be used to create a scholarship foundation for White River High School graduates.

At the time, this felt like a meaningful bonus to know the $400,000 used to purchase the building would go back into the community in mission-aligned ways.

Not long ago, we remembered that conversation and realized we had never heard anything more about the scholarship from within the community.

Fast forward to tonight—June 4th, 2026. The Huffs are at White River’s Honor Night, where scholarships are awarded to the graduating class of 2026. Jaiden Huff is one of those graduating seniors and had diligently applied for nearly every scholarship she could and it paid off with a number of significant scholarships.

As we looked through the program, we noticed something new:
The Finn Hall Association Scholarship.
After a long journey through legal processes of setting up a foundation legally for distributing the funds, the funds from the purchase of Finn Hall had finally been established as a lasting scholarship for students in our community.

The first year, $50,000 was awarded among multiple students, with scholarships ranging from $400 to $2,500.

Sitting in the audience, there was a deep sense of pride and gratitude. The faith it took for Open Life to step out and purchase that building was now impacting the future of students in our community.

And in a beautiful, unexpected moment, one of the students receiving $2,500 was Jaiden herself.

As a 7th grader, she had been one of the original donors to the Establish Legacy campaign to purchase Finn Hall. Years later, she was now seeing firsthand how God multiplies what we give in faith.

Luke 6:38 (NIV)
“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
Open Life, know this: the faith you have shown in investing in this community is paying dividends in ways you may never have imagined—not only through the ministry happening at The Gathering Place, but in the lives of future generations.

Pictured below are the students who have been blessed by your act of faith in purchasing the Finn Hall in 2021. Well done!!
