What is the Church?
In week three of Almost True, we challenge the common idea that the church is a building, place, or Sunday event and rediscover the biblical truth that the church is a people pursuing Jesus’ mission together. Through Scripture, we see the church described as living stones, the body of Christ, a family, and the bride of Christ, reminding us that every follower of Jesus has a place, a purpose, and a responsibility within this community. Rather than simply “going to church,” this message invites us to embrace what it means to be the church, worship together, care for one another, and live on mission wherever God sends us.
Open Life Church gathers each Sunday at 10:00 AM at the Bonney Lake High School Performing Arts Center. These online messages are available for those unable to join us in person and are typically filmed earlier in the week at The Gathering Place, then released each Sunday morning.
