Top Ten of 2023

Each year Open Life takes the final Sunday of the year off to allow our staff and volunteers to take time to rest, reflect, and give thanks to God for the year that was. In this attitude, we offer to you, the Open Life Church Top Ten of 2023. This (non-exhaustive) list is meant to jumpstart your own practice of looking back at the past year and finding things that you can be grateful to God for. We hope this list encourages you and gets you excited for what is in store at Open Life Church come 2024.

1. Community Big Give: Our largest year ever in meals given and money raised.
2. Kids Connect: A new ministry in the Prairie Ridge community, started in September.
3. Groups: More people in groups than ever and strategic planning with leaders looking towards 2024.
4. Ladies Retreat: A incredible event for our women to connect with one another on a deeper level.
5. Open Life's Generosity: Giving was 14% higher in 2023 which allowed us to have an even greater impact in a number of areas at Open Life.
6. Kids Life in new ministry areas at BLHS: In September we were able to move our Kids Life areas to the commons of Bonney Lake High School, giving them more space for ministry.
7. New People at Open Life: In 2023 we grew in overall attendance by nearly 30%. More people have been getting involved and engaging in all areas of Open Life.
8. The Gathering Place: We've done 180 hours of community rentals in 2023 even before we start renovations later this year.
9. Student Life: We were able to get back to Summer Camp for the first year since 2019 and also added a Long Beach Campout to the Calendar. New leaders have joined in on Tuesday nights, and it's a great time to jump into Student Life.
10. Local and Global Missions: 2023 saw us plan two trips that are happening in 2024 along with local connections that continue to grow in our community through the tangible donations we receive from World Vision.

Join us on Sunday, January 7th, at 10 am in the Bonney Lake High School Performing Arts Center for our first service of 2024, where we will also take time to pray for and commission our Bangladesh Justice Trip team headed out later that week.
