Staff Roles Shifting

Shifting Staff Roles at Open Life

We wanted to make you aware of a couple of role shifts we have made at Open Life.

As staffing availability and needs continually flex with different seasons of life, Open Life has always been flexible and agile, and this is one of those moments.  With the needs of being a new parent, Jadon Haynes has expressed the need to reduce his hourly investment at Open Life from full-time to 20 hours weekly.

Therefore, we will be shifting some of the responsibilities that have been on Jadon's plate to Stephanie French and shifting more hours to Stephanie, bringing her to full-time. Jadon’s pastoral role now shifts from Executive Pastor to Associate Pastor (Operations & Worship) and Stephanie’s will continue to be Associate Pastor, but with the clarity of (Pathways & Missions).

How will this impact you?

When you reach out to Jadon for a need you have been familiar with having him address, he just might reply, “I will forward this to Stephanie and she will get right back to you.” Especially with needs regarding Discipleship or Groups as Stephanie will now be facilitating this area. Jadon will continue to facilitate worship, sound, video and Operational needs like finances and church database management.

What is “Pathways” you might ask?

At our recent Staff Advance we continued to dream of discipleship pathways for people. How we could invest in empowering leaders to facilitate groups, classes/courses and have a pathway for people to grow in their relationship with Jesus. Stephanie will be taking on all of these connected pieces in order to create a seamless strategy and system for people to grow their faith at Open Life. The weekly prayer launching at The Gathering Place this week is one of the pieces made possible by this additional time invested into pathways already.

We are excited that the gifts and availability of our staff have allowed for this shift to be seamless and work for both Jadon and Stephanie and allow for better alignment within roles that each of them are facilitating for the church.
