Dominican Republic Missions Trip

Open Life is going to work alongside Jamie & Berly Bello to meet the needs of their local church and community this summer from July 24th to August 1st. Our presence will serve as an encouragement to the DR church at the same time their model for discipleship and fellowship will shape our own views at Open Life here. You can watch our missionary partner, Jamie Bello, below when she spoke at Open Life in 2023:

During our time there we will do some of the following and more.

• Block party (food trucks, inflatables, 3 on 3 tournament, lawn games, face painting) [PRAY with me for permission] (1 day)
• Basketball camp (?) – if you have at least 2-3 who can “coach” it (2-3 days)
• If this doesn’t work, we will do some kind of community service project – and I will ask what are the giftings, skill sets of the team members to try to get an idea of what we could do.
• Outreach / Serve the Plaza (where our church venue is located) – prayer walks, free coffee & desserts giveaway, or another creative approach that we haven’t figured out yet. (1 day)
• Sunday ministry at church(es) – depending on team size, we may split up to have you minister at multiple churches in our part of the city.  (set up, hosting, kids min, coffee & donuts serving, prayer, preaching)

Our target date for initial deposit for the trip is Jan. 26th, so time is of the essence to get signed up and begin prep for July.
